  • Faculty will have to register on this website after approval from ACET Coordinator Dr Sanjeev Bhoi (AIIMS) (9868397053)
  • MCI Recognized Faculty from Anesthesia, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics –Gynecology Pulmonology, pediatrics, orthopedics are eligible to be teachers in Emergency Medicine and hence can take this Fellowship Course.
  • The Faculty who are interested in taking this course have to be current teaching faculty in any of the above departments at MCI Recognized Medical Colleges in India.
  • This Faculty development Program is a Year Long Program
  • There will be Monthly reading assignments for all registered Faculty. Details of the reading timetable and assignments are under the Link Titled "Calendar"
  • Titinalli Textbook of Emergency Medicine is the Standard Textbook to be used for reading.
  • Candidates can use Either the 6th or the 7th Edition. They need to check section numbers and Page numbers as they may differ in the two editions.
  • There will be monthly tests of 50 multiple choice questions
  • Tests will be conducted on this web gateway every month between 15th 7.00 AM (Indian Standard Time ) and 30th 7 PM (Indian Standard Time)
  • Passing is More than 70% correct answers (35 Questions)
  • There will be 8 Tests (One Test Every Month covering 250 pages of Titinalli Every Test) Starting from 15th April 2011 till 30th November 2011
  • Registered faculty can log in and take the test only once every month.
  • Upon failure you can take the a repeat new test within the 15th -30th Time frame just one more time in the same month. 70% (35 questions) Passing Rule applies to repeat test takers.
  • On Failing the Test for second time you have to contact administrator at email indusacet@yahoo.com
  • You have to pass Each test independently to move on to the next test in the following month
  • There is a Practice Test available on this site.
  • Once you log into the test the test will close in 60 Minutes upon which your score will be available.
  • Midyear Board Review Course titled "Emergency Medicine Practices, Advances and Clinical Therapeutics (EMPACT)" )” will be held in March/April 2011. Dates and Venue Details will be updated in due course under the link "Calendar" on this website. It is mandatory to get EMPACT Certified in order to sit for the Final Examination in December 2011.
  • Final Examination will be held in person (250 MCQ) will be held online from 15th December to 30th December 2011. (Details to be provided later)

  2. EKG Course (Medicine Faculty can Teach at your medical college)
  3. Airway and Ventilation Course (Anesthesia can teach at medical college)
  4. Splinting Course (Ortho Can Teach at your Medical College)
  5. Emergency Sonography Course (INDO-US Teaches this Course)
  6. ATLS OR EQUIVALENT Course (Being Held in India)
  7. ACLS OR EQUIVALENT Course (Being Held in India)
  8. PALS OR EQUIVALENT Courses (Being Held in India)
  9. NALS OR EQUIVALENT Courses (Being Held in India)
  10. Midyear Board Review Course titled “Emergency Medicine Practices, Advances and Clinical Therapeutics (EMPACT)” will be held in March/April 2011. Dates and Venue Details will be updated in due course. It is mandatory to get EMPACT Certified in order to sit for the Final Examination in December 2011.

Apart from the above faculty will need to develop Competencies in procedures such as Central Lines insertion, IO Access in Pediatrics, Intubation, Chest Tubes, Lumbar Puncture, Pericardiocentesis, Pleural Tapping, Ascites Tapping, Eye Exam, Slit Lamp Exam, Epistaxis Control, and Foreign Body Removal. Pelvic Exam, Tonometry and slit lamp examination are other procedures that faculty need to be trained in. The above are skills they have to acquire on their own.
